It has been a while since I blogged about style! I am planning to schedule modest style inspiration posts weekly from now on. This week I was struggling with color ideas for matching my turquoise maxi skirt. So far I had only worn it with a white blouse, but that seemed lacking in color. I dug out this peach top and the colors were just what I was looking for together.
My turquoise maxi skirt is available at Deborah and Co here. My top is from Aeropostale, but the tank top I have on underneath is from Maurice’s. The belt and earrings are from a recent visit to Cato. My lace flats are from J.C. Penny. You can’t see the back, but my hair is held in place with some of my favorite summer Lilla Rose bobbie pins. I love these bobbies because I can keep some volume in my hair without teasing. They have a good, firm hold and keep my hair in place all day.
One of the main reasons I haven’t done a style post in so long is because I am 11 weeks pregnant and experiencing the typical exhaustion I get along with that. I am mostly functional until after lunch time, but after that…well, that is when I get a lot of computer work done. I am thankful that the older children are great helpers around the house and with the younger ones. It has also been a good opportunity to do some more cooking training, which has been a good thing. Lydia and Isaac are particularly enjoying that part!
So far our summer hasn’t been too hot, so maxi skirts work perfectly for both comfort and and expanding waistline! I also love the fact that they are something I can wear during every trimester of pregnant OR when I am not pregnant!
