I am too cheap to buy reduced sugar catsup. It comes in a reduced size bottle. Lol! I like to make big batches when I cook and if I have to, I will put things in the freezer until I need them. This recipe was created using what I had in the house at the time. It isn’t as thick as store bought catsup, so if you don’t like that, you might want to add some tomato paste to thicken it up.
- 1 big can tomato sauce (I mean big - the 6 lb. 9 oz. size you get from a warehouse store)
- ¼ cup cider vinegar
- 4 full droppers of liquid stevia
- 5 tsp onion powder
- salt and pepper, to taste
- Combine all ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate. If you aren't planning on using it all within a week or two, I would store some in the freezer until you need it.
