As I have already mentioned, Mark and I went to Oregon recently. It was so exciting for me to see the Pacific Ocean! It was beautiful! We spent several days driving around sightseeing and just looking at the area. It is such a pretty part of the country!
When we were preparing for the trip and trying to come up with ideas of things to do in Oregon, I stumbled across a pin on my Pinterest board of places I would like to see someday. I was delighted to find that it was in Oregon, not far from where we were going to be! I love it when I get to experience Pinterest in real life! LOL! Needless to say, Multnomah Falls, as I discovered it was called, was on our must – see list. The day we went there was extremely windy. Gusts reached up to 70 MHP in some spots. It was a chilly day for visiting a mountain waterfall! The whole area was breathtakingly beautiful! I even mustered up the courage to hike the narrow, steep trail that led all the way to the top of the falls. (I am not really afraid of heights, but I like feeling safe!!!)
I made myself a new distressed skirt just before we left. It was made from a pair of Maurices distressed jeans which had quite a few holes in them. I didn’t really want my skirt to have holes in it, but I liked the look. I decided to fill the holes in from behind with denim so that they still looked the same but were no longer actually holes. Even in the Oregon wind, I was warm enough with my fleece lined tights and boot socks! (Especially after the hike!!)
